Some horizontal designs may reach $50 per linear foot depending on the scope.

Trim-and-cap wood privacy fencing — $48 per linear foot

Horizontal trim frames the pickets and a continuous top cap finishes the fence and matching gate. The posts have flat-cut tops, without individual decorative caps. Final pricing depends on measured length, height, gates, removal, access, and site conditions; request a written estimate for your project.

What changes the final cost?

Layout and access

Measure each fence run and note corners, slopes, trees, narrow access, and existing structures. Confirm property boundaries before choosing the final fence line.

Materials and details

Height, board pattern, finish, trim, and hardware change material and labor needs. Compare the same specifications when reviewing estimates.

Gates and site work

List the number and width of gates, fence removal, haul-away, and any special preparation. Gate openers require a separate site discussion.

Compare the fence and the upkeep

Wood offers a natural appearance and flexible patterns, with periodic care. Vinyl offers privacy and routine cleaning without painting. Aluminum provides an open view; gates and hardware still need attention.

Installation details matter, but no general website statement can establish a fence’s wind rating. Ask about the proposed product, installation requirements, and any engineering needed for your site.

Planning a DIY fence?

Ask Tommy about our pre-made wood panels and the materials used in them. Compare framing, boards, fasteners, dimensions, and delivery or pickup arrangements before ordering.

Our fence installation videos show project details. A video does not replace site-specific instructions, utility marking, or local requirements.
